Leisure Line is a safe carry area already. :)

And I like the direction Georgia is heading. I was surprised that Arizona shot a similar bill down. ( strange choice of words ) :(

Looks like the good folks of Georgia know the difference between "Rights" and "Privileges" and are willing to pass laws to protect their rights, from those who will only see them as privileges to be taken away. :)

Being from there, it really does not surprise me. I have not read all the details and like most of what I have seen. But really, carrying a sidearm into a BAR!!! I know there are rednecks everywhere but some of you guys really don't know Southern inbred rednecks like I do.

hahaha this is funny.. if your such a expert on "Southern inbred rednecks" what make you think there ain't guns in bars already?

so i guess once a law abiding sober man and wife go in a restaurant with a bar they give up there right to protect themselves?

if your drunk and or on drugs and carrying a weapon that's not good in or out of a bar.

Seems to me your taking issue with ANYONE carring a sidearm in a bar.

My point was and is there already there illegally. And allowing a SOBER law abiding citizen to carry in a bar doesn't change a thing EXCEPT that the sober law abidding citizen can protect themself. Big difference in my point and yours.

And there is the problem of internet inflection, or lack of. I found it rather humorous but then all humor is based on a little bit of truth.

I can look around and see folks that I can't imagine with a gun, whether in a bar or not. Having said that I've sat next to people in a bar and known that they were carrying. Didn't bother me a bit.

I guess I fall on the more civilized society if everyone was armed.

Olpanrider, I don't think GA Cracker was pointing at anyone in particular, just a general out loud thought.

In RI, it's illegal to be in possession of alcohol and a gun at the same time. Whether you are drinking it or not.

Most people ( At least I hope this to be true ) that carry also have or show more self control. At least that seems to be the case for people I know that carry , including myself. I find if I stop at a bar and am carrying I may have 1 beer then the rest just soda. I also find I will avoid conflict or confrontation. I do not participate in road rage . Its just not worth it. I doubt if crime will not do anything except decrease in GA.

Because most people with legal carry permits don't want the government to revoke the permit.

Criminals don't have that problem.
