Stoker Coal Boiler: AA 130
Coal Size/Type: Pea

If any one was following my install of my aa 130 and knew of a couple of issues.... Low draft... Fire going out.... All has been cured by a new load of coal. I had picked coal up at a local dealer to hold me over till I received my delivery. When I loaded the new coal all issues went away. I am now at all the original settings... 140 anthrastat .... 1 min per hour on timer and all looks perfect.

Anyway.. a friend of mine loves my setup and is interested in acquiring an axeman. We will split the coal deliveries and therefore he would like something that burns pea. He really likes the axeman because first it works great and second it just looks cool.

We live in eastern CT but will travel a little distance to see something worth while. I know there is one out in PA which is on crags list. Its been there a while and is wondering why?

A 260 also is not out of the question but it would be overkill. He has a 2200 sq ft house and would like to heat a pool. The pool is the question on possible BTU problems for 130. but the BTU's on the pool more depends on the speed of which he wants to heat it up.

So any leads on an AA 130 would be appreciated. Thanks

At these temperatures, that 130 will do a great job of heating a pool. It will eat lots of coal but then again that's what it's good at. :D

260M minimum, the 130 won't have the umph to heat that thing. I heat my 2200' house with a 260. It just sleeps a lot.

The 260 will work at this pool heating also, and coal consumption will be noticeably high IMO. Check in with Dewey in Kingston, NH who is running an AHS 260 very successfully.....for years now.
