May 1st and it's windy and rainy and 46 degrees outside

PostBy: BPatrick On: Thu May 01, 2014 1:31 pm

Will it ever end. Our temp avg. for this time of the year is supposed to be 65. We will go from winter to summer again and miss all of spring. worst yet, I'm still having to heat the house with the coal stoves. I'm now burning up the pea coal I have left. Mother nature can kiss my butt.

I was out of town for four days so the stove had gone out. I thought I would leave it out for the season but got tired of having to wear long underwear and a wool hat in the house. I started it back up yesterday.

I mentioned it on another post that it seems like spring is about 2-3 weeks behind schedule. Trees should have leaves, the leeks were late and temps show it too...

We started the day at 46°, and ended at 65° & a 59° dewpoint, plus thunder, lightning, and monsoon rain! I'll take it though - sure beats the damn cold!

Looks like it's trending warmer in the 7-day. It's about friggin time!

Rest of the northern country should be getting there at some point ...

Congress just passed a law regulating the temperatures in the areas of the nation. I think right now its supposed to be 40 degrees in MI due to the law.

Don't blame me..I voted for Kang.

Congress is actually in session :o , even more unlikely that they would do anything other than what they have been doing  . All I know is that many are wasting a precious natural energy source for personal comfort, a few months ago you would have been walking around in these same temps saying how warm it is.

Who in the hell are you to preach to anyone on how much (or little) heat that someone deems they need to enjoy their home in comfort? How is that any concern of yours Sam? Are you paying for it? If someone wants to burn coal or any fuel for that matter and keep their home at 75 f 24/7/365 that is their business. :wtf:

Why and how is it your concern what temp someone keeps their home at? Your pretentious comments aside just why do you feel this is of any concern to you? Do you feel there should be a "law" that every home have a regulated thermostat?

Damn Sam you have posted some crazy shiat on this forum but this one truely shows your true colors. If someone desires to have a temperature in their abode that you don't agree with then they are wasting a precious resource? WHAT? Bleepin scary Sam that these kind of thoughts go through your mind.

Well,1 $ ,i am so glad that someone else saw thru the sh post,i thought maybe my simple mind misunderstood the words of a well educated man. So now, do i understand this correctly ? If it is 10* outside & 75* inside but then warms up to a warm 55* outside,i now have to shut down my heat because it is "warm" outside ? Just because 55* is warm compared to 10* doesn't mean inside will feel warm when dropping from 75* down to the "warm" outside temp of 55*.
