I wouldn't call it a family event, there will be alcohol there but it isn't going to be a college keg party either. If you're fine with that bring the kids along. There is plenty of space for them to get into mischief. :) There is fields, if you zoom in on Google maps you can see the two big open spaces. The bigger one to the back is actually the gun range. Bring the volleyball net or the football with you, there is also two horseshoe pits.

I was lucky enough to be invited to play TPC Conn. and take a few days off (Titleist is gonna be Jealous :dancing: ) , glad to see Rich planning a get together again. I will try to see if I can save a few bucks and schedule this with maybe a lil' side trip to Atlantic City or DC... might get lucky for once in my life and bring some woman too

Interesting date. It is the day before my weekend starts so I may take the day off and attend. I’ll know by months end if it is possible. All time off requests must be approved by management, even if you plan to get sick.

I can never please everyone. ;) By that time forum traffic has picked up substantially and there is no holidays anywhere near it.

Bring on the strippers. My wife and I are definitely not over protective parents. Kids are use to being around truck drivers and railroaders. Unfortunately there at that age where they repeat everything. I'll talk to the wife. If she's not interested I have a friend that might come. Matt

We have another sponsor, forum member ONEDOLLAR has made a generous offer.

I've opened up another category for forum members that would like to make a contribution towards this event. As I've previously said I'll be taking no profit from this event, any donations will go towards lowering the costs for other forum members and perhaps some door prizes.

I've learned from planning events of my own that the best you can do is plan a date and let the chips fall where they may. It will be unfortunate timing for some but that would happen on any date you choose. I think you chose a good date. For the reasons you mentioned.. :)
