Old school controls and relays.

Can anyone tell me if the old mecury controls, ie: aquastat and timer, can be used to run the stoker motor at line load ?
Or do I need a relay ? And if so what one ?

Thanks !!!!!

old mercury controls will function almost forever
remove the load from them and just use them to switch a modern relay that can be replaced

I used to only use these

lately I have evolved
and employ more of these

pick the item that fits your needs load and voltage
