Yes those are optional, but I think spats are mandatory.

Your right. It's not like I don't mine the summertime. Just a little anxious about running my stove. This will be my first season with coal. I'm pretty stoked.

That's not fair, you are new to coal and straight away you get the two best base heaters ever made. Don't you know there is supposed to be a suffering period of a few years before getting to this point. This mandatory apprenticeship period leaves lifetime scars that make you appreciate the very best that the coal world has to offer. When you start at the top there is only one way to go. Nothing to be nervous about as there is a ton of help available if you need it. Pay attention to getting good coal.

Lol!!!! You right. I used all of the experience of all of you guys and fast forwarded to this point. No sense in waiting for the inevitable. I wasn't stopping till I found what I was looking for. I do have a sense of contentment but I'm always keeping my eyes open for anything that pops up. You could say have an insatiable lust for these things. Keep coal and chive on.

Very nice looking stove Coalnewbie. And looks good in that house. Keep on posting photos .
Just curious about the bulb light you put in the stove, what is it, I love the look of it. Thanks.

Well, just be fore warned. The Summer is going to be short, wet and cool for the North Central and a lot of the Northeast this year. The upcoming Winter is also going to be as cold or even colder than the one we just got through. It is the third week of May and it didn't get out of the 50's at my house today. Just think in a only month the Sun will have reached it's peak and begin the decent downward towards the Southern Horizon. So get ready.

So much for global warming. The earths been getting cooler for the past 17 years. When we start asking the right questions, they switch it on us and call it climate change. What a joke and a pathetic attempt to impose carbon taxes Anyhow. I will be asking a lot of questions this winter. Thanks again.

Nortcan,

http://www.antiquestovesite.com/Stoves.html

Lots of fun but make sure you can fit the light into the stove. With a Baltimore Heater I somehow doubt it.

Do be quiet William. This now means I will have to buy another base burner (best to be prepared) and there will be more domestic strife ahead. Perhaps not, Shelley has stated it looks so beautiful it would be a shame to dirty it up with coal so the stove may have been accorded domestic decorative status. It may be doomed to a life of being endlessly cleaned. That means a less than perfect base burner could have to be sought out just in case. I know it's a flimsy excuse but it's the best I could think up on the spot.

Not to derail the thread about Coalnewbie's wonderful news. This info here should make it all the more wonderful. So, don't shoot the messenger. I pay good money to access the best weather site in the Country and you can benefit from my expense. Since I love you all, well most of you.

Suggested attire to wear with these stoves. I don't know if you can afford to buy these outfits for Shelley.
