There you go Flyer, not that it makes much difference but I was raised Republican, that party until Reagan then I wised up, I was smart enough to see straight thru him & IMO he did more to harm the country than any other in my time.
As for Clinton, as far as I care he did a heck of a job turning the country around like he was voted in to do. What he does in his personal life that's between his wife & himself, I'm sure he's not the first nor will he be the last.

There you go with the short view again Sam. You're a good American.

If by "turning the country around" you mean shipping all those jobs out through NAFTA(mine included), paving the way for 9/11 by supporting the radical Muslims in Bosnia and tanking Social Security by raising the withholding and spending the increase, then I guess you're right, he did a stellar job!

But Sam must have benefited somehow, somewhere from it. So that makes Clinton his hero. Screw all the people that got screwed by his policies. I know the border states and more importantly, the immediate border areas got hammered by NAFTA. But who cares in the Beltway?

That's right, when Reagan screwed the ATC, steelworkers & most others no one cared, he raised taxes on everyone (almost everyone) brought the first trillion deficit, gave us corporate prisons & a bulk of other things that no one cared about. Most of all him, he was just playing a roll but who cares?

Wait. You saw through Reagan and you feel he did more harm to this country than anyone else? Look, I'm not the smartest person ever. I barely graduated high school. I also admit, I'm not exactly up on all this political stuff and I can admit that I barely pay attention to any of it. I'm also too young to really remember Reagan, I was 10 in 1987. But you can't see Bammy for what he is and what he's done/doing to this country?

Whatever Reagan did to harm this country is NOTHING compared to what this socialist pig is doing to it right now. I don't understand how you can be so blind to all of the *censored* Bammy is putting this country through. In 2016 when he marches soldiers through DC while screaming into a camera that he is going to remain in power indefinitely and that any American who opposes him will be shot will you finally admit that he is a monster?

I was in the auto business when Nafta went through. Parts made in Mexico were garbage. One of the biggest reasons for me getting out. Points literally fell apart with 10 miles on them. Rotors made there were half the weight of the American made ones. Nafta was the worst thing for this country.
Clinton was to distracted to do his job. Not much different than this clown now, just chasing different holes. Clinton diminished our military. I always felt it was like the farmer selling all his equipment to make it through the winter he had lots of extra money. But come spring not enough to replace the equipment to continue farming.
Regan was not perfect but he was the closest we have had. He made some mistakes but he set the stage for Clintons success. Clinton and Bush Jr screwed the pooch for the economy.
Obama, I can't say that he did anything bad for the economy . He has done wonders for the firearm and ammo industry. But he has done nothing that he could take credit for doing any good either. His piss poor leadership and daily vacations have destroyed our foreign stature around the world. He is a laughing stalk everywhere. and countries are walking all over us. He will go down as the worst president in history.
Sam I was just messing with ya. I know you love this country. But I don't agree with most of your views.

Speaking of lying politicians (weren’t we?) here’s part of "The President's Speech" from The Man who Mistook his Wife for a Hat by Oliver Sacks, 1985. Sacks is discussing aphasia patients – those who due to brain damage cannot understand spoken words but compensate with other heightened perceptions – as they listened to President Reagan. Not to pick on Reagan, I'm sure other politicians would also fail the test. The lesson I get from this piece is that I should stay home and let my dog vote. :)

There he was, the old Charmer, the Actor, with his practiced rhetoric, his histrionics, his emotional appeal - and all the patients were convulsed with laughter. Well, not all: some looked bewildered, some looked outraged, one or two looked apprehensive, but most looked amused …

... one cannot lie to an aphasiac. He cannot grasp your words, and so cannot be deceived by them; but what he grasps he grasps with infallible precision, namely the expression that goes with the words, that total, spontaneous, involuntary expressiveness which can never be simulated or faked, as words alone can, all too easily...

We recognize this with dogs, [who can] pick up falsehood, or malice, or equivocal intentions, to tell us who can be trusted, who is integral, who makes sense … And what dogs can do here, aphasiacs do too, and at a human and immeasurably superior level. To … a grimace, to any falsity or impropriety in bodily appearance or posture, aphasiacs are preternaturally sensitive. And if they cannot see one - this is especially true of our blind aphasiacs - they have an infallible ear for every vocal nuance, the tone, the rhythm, the cadences, the music, the subtlest modulations, inflections, intonations, which can give - or remove - verisimilitude to or from a man's voice.

This is why they laughed at the President's speech.

I'm not defending Reagan. But you seem to think Clinton was great. There you go defending the broken system again. This is what I'm talking about.

Wrong ! He represents this country's highest office and is one of the most powerful people on the planet. He did not keep it private because what he did was so wrong, he not only repeatedly broke his oath of marrage and his oath of office, he broke laws so often that it couldn't legally be covered up by others involved.

And, if you've talked to people from other countries you'll find out they lost a lot of respect for America when all Clintons office drama came out. As my friend in England put it, "We love watching the news about your president, it's better than watching re-runs of Dallas."

Are you forgetting Clinton worked for, and represented ALL of us - especially those that voted for him. That's why my two Dem friends were so very disappointed in him. They knew - unlike some- Clintons behavior is not acceptable.

Maybe you think an employee of yours should be abusing their position of authority to diddle around on company time, thus incurring the waste of your companies time and money dealing with thousands of man hours of investigations, when he was supposed to be running the country ?

"I'm sure he's not the first nor will he be the last." That red herring ploy doesn't excuse him.

So now, poor Hillary, because of the low morals of her husband and other scandals they were involved in before and during their time in the White House, the Clintons left the White House broke from having to fight off all those law suits. And we're supposed to feel sorry that Bill's crotch crazies and her supposed poor filing skills cost them millions in legal fees ?

The leader of our great nation is not supposed to be wasting our tax dollars and embarrassing us all on the world stage because he's prone to thinking with his small head !

Yeah, they're both world leader material ...... NOT !
