It's about timing Sam, not quantity.

Bush got hell from the libs for being at a school reading to children the morning of 911. No one knew the planes were going to hit the towers that morning. Your guy has repeatedly gone on vacations and fund raisers when there's been a chassis already happening and he's supposed to get a pass ?

See the difference yet ?

The thing on 9-11 IMO anyhow was more that after being told they basically did nothing. In retrospect just maybe they didn't want to make him a target getting him to AF1 but there again he was already a target with schoolkids. Chaney on the other hand was well protected, almost like he knew. This isn't the early days where they are out of the loop if they go to the john, they can & do operate from where ever they are.

"...... and he's supposed to get a pass ?"

Even some in the lamestream media were starting to question why he still went on vacation Sunday,... what with the crisis in Iraq worsening daily, US forces once more heading to the Gulf, and Iran entering the mess even more than they have been.

So, your ok with that ?

I didn't know you were such a golf fan.

The best thing for this country for the next 2 years would be to KEEP the incompetent POS on the golf course! Two more years of his non-leadership will put every nail in the coffin, which is his ultimate goal of a world Caliphate. Why we sent 275 'targets' there to protect our embassy is beyond me. We should have sent a team of demo experts with a few thousand pounds of C4 to booby trap the place.
We wasted enough blood trying to drag an unwilling mob of 6th century scum into the 21st century.

Gee let's see now, if you don't have enough security at an embassy (which wasn't one) your wrong then if you beef up security at another real embassy you wrong again. There are still hundreds if not thousands of Americans (workers & Contractors/businessmen). I do agree however that we shouldn't have embassies in many countries & the hell with Americans that go there knowing that the conditions are what they are.

That's something I wouldn't expect even from you Sam. I think most of them go assuming they are serving their country.

Sam,

It's not so black and white, this or that. There's a third option, which is only partially being used, instead 100%. They are moving only some of "our assets" to safer areas.

And, in this day and age, if our embassies in shaky regions aren't prepared for dealing with a bug-out and how to quickly move, and/or destroy, sensitive info and equipment, a lot of top State Department heads need to roll.

Heck, 40 years ago, we were taught how to DIP our radios, log and code books and truck in about one minute with just a few well placed thermite grenades.

But, instead of moving all our assets to safety, troops are being added to the list of potential targets instead. Do you think sending a few troops in will encourage, or dissuade the ISIS crazies ? Do you think they see a force they can't deal with, or do they see millions of dollars of infidels that can become terrorist trading stock ?

I assume you're referring to Benghazi-gate. They were begging for help for months and got nothing from the Hag. Now I would assume any sane person sitting in Baghdad is begging, not for reinforcements, but for a seat on a plane! If our workers and businessmen don't have their butts out of there by now, then they must be watching only Mainstream Media! It's going to look like Saigon in a few days.

I actually have the US Army manual that explains how to do this. It was my fathers.

The best way to deal with Iraq right now would be with nukes. But that won't happen in this day and age.

They just put close to a billion into that embassy, it isn't your run of the mill compound, it & we are there because of the oil, oil runs the world & they want to keep it that way. Pretty good, start two wars, sink billions into rebuilding, waste countless lives of Americans, appoint a cowardly, greedy chicken hawk in your own image that kicks you out so he gets more, he does the same thing as before except maybe worse & then you blame the new guy in office for all the mistakes. What a bunch of hypocrites, the contractors there are there for the $$$ & that's the bottom line, the best way to deal with that whole region was to not be there in the first place or to get out now that we are, when the dust settles & the blood has soaked in they will have figured it out for themselves.

Red herring argument again Sam.

Your guy has had 6 years to do exactly what about changing that ? After all, he was all about change wasn't he ?

How long does obummer have to be in office before he owns any part of the job? And don't try the Repub obstructionists ploy either, obummer has illegally worked around whatever checks and balances the system has that he's feels like ignoring. Just because the Repubs don't have the stones to fight him on it doesn't make it legal.

Obama hasn't done anything illegally that Congress or myself know about. Just because you & the talking heads disagree with things doesn't make them illegal. Just like your red herring reply SB, you can't handle facts. Either put up some facts or quit arguing about something that may or may not be, simple as that. Heck if you know your right & have stones why not you take him to court?
IMF, I got a field manual from the 1800s but it doesn't mention anything about Iraq or nukes for that matter.
