Don't get discouraged, and do yourself a favor, and seek out the wars memorials, and then take the time to read the names...... all of them.
There might be more than one memorial, so don't be afraid of a little rain, just do it!!!

I am quite close the NH Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen, and I'm headed there first, then to the Tilton Veterans Home to say thanks, to the guys who are waiting for 'final call to duty'. If you have never done it where you live, give it a try. It is quite an adventure to hear some of the tales, and see the tears when they recall their friends who were not so fortunate as to be able to come home. Even hardened, crusty old bastards like me have trouble seeing those weather worn faces recall events as far back as 70 years ago.

Today is all about those who ever put on the uniform and answered the call without regard for their own lives, simply because it WAS the right thing to do.

'F' a bunch of firecrackers...annoying tiny pee pee extender for the mush melons.

Enjoy the REAL fireworks that display joy and happiness our Veterans selflessly provided, many with their own blood.

Thank You to ALL the men and women in uniform or in civies who answered your country's request for you service. D

And don't forget those who were left behind to "keep the home fires burning."

Take a little time to sit back and reflect on what our forefathers sacrificed 238 years ago. Imagine their dilemma when deciding enough was enough. Or the classic "I've had all I can stand and I can't stand no more !!"


If only we had some leadership or leaders with enough balls to do the same today !!!! Of course with the direction our government has taken, I doubt anyone would be allowed to rally the troops to actually make some changes in today's world.

I knew I would find something on here about Independence Day. God bless all our service men and women past and present for all their sacrifices. This is more than just a day off, it should be remembered for what it is and not just a time for bar b ques and fire crackers. God Bless and help the USA!!

On a quieter note, happy 4th everyone, I would hope that we will not have to rise in defiance against tyranny again but it is sadly written in future. Will all past sacrifice be for naught? Or will we regain a spine and find leadership? Time will tell.

As opposed to any re-commitment to a Declaration of Independence, our Fed Chair Janet Yellen gave this July 2nd speech (pure subjective gobbledygook) calling over and over again for a "macroprudential approach", "macroprudential measures", "macroprudential economics", "macroprudential tools", and macroprudential ad nausea (I.E. a call for strong handed top down control) as the recommended antidote to what ails modern society. Not a hint of independence here. This is the real world we live in. Read it here at the Federal Reserve's website (if you can), then read the Declaration of Independence again.
