How do you add a link to a forum post from another thread, without the whole http: addy (just the "about")?
Simply copy the URL from your address bar in your broswser and paste it in the post, by default any links to forum topics will automatically be parsed as aboutXXXX.html. Addtionally you can also right click any link and select "Copy Link Loction" (exact text will vary by browser) and paste it in post. For example if you wanted to link directly to the first page of "How much are you using? Mid season update."
It will look like this when you paste it:
- Code: Select all
http://www.nepadigital.com/bb/about3340.html
and it will look like this when displayed: How much are you using? Mid season update.
You can also link to specific posts, Right click the title link in that specific post "Re: How much are you using? Mid season update." and select "copy link location" (again exact text varies by browser).
Here''s about midway page 2 from "How much are you using? Mid season update." BugsyR

External links will have the full doamain and path unless they are very long in which case the viewable text will be shortened automatically. Again simply paste them.
