Gosh.... it can't be 5 days since they left here! Time is flying by like a scared cat. Ain't the Pierce Arrow a hoot? That ride through Acadia National park will always be remembered. Greg said there was no traffic in the park.... you should read that to say "He drove that bad girl as hard as she could go". Wooohoooo!

Well this past weekend was a total bust. Went 0 for 4. Never have we seen these kids get intimidated and down on themselves as we did.

To start it off, they played on really short fields. A standard double was instantly turned into a home run. The markers on the field were not true in their distances. Someone up there must have a short tape measure. No way were the fields even 180 feet. So the other team gets up by 4 runs or so and the kids' head went down the shoulders drooped, and they conceded way too early. And this team was noted for its comebacks earlier in the season.

So it was an early exit for us. Allowed for some quality adult beverage time at night !!!! And we came home Saturday night. Glad to be home, but disappointed ! Oh well there is always next year.... Plus coming home early allowed us to view the terrific light show put on last night by Mother Nature.

Rick
