Evening all,

Greg L- Nice trip report. I enjoyed the read. Yes, somebody should of warned you about those 'Taxachusetts' bridges! They are brutal. I think they are 'State-owned' speed bumps.

About 20yrs ago, we had a 65lb malamute named 'LOKI'. You are the first I've heard to have a LOKI. What breed, may I ask?

FreeFred- Good to see you recovering. Be careful, and go slllloooowww!

Cheers
D-frost

This is LOKI. He's a Belgium-born German Shepherd. Even has a 'canine Passport'. He was, un believably, a rescue dog, he had been abandoned by his owners when they got divorced.. They tried to sell the dog, but had to give up and took him to the Pound.. Thankfully a friend knew about the dog, and got him out of the pound immediately.

He's 3- 1/2 years old, about 80#, maybe a bit more. I got him in January of '12, when he was 1 yr old.

Missed coffee yesterday. It was a busy day, took the family to Balloon Fest. Unfortunately we missed the hot air balloons but for to see some cool movie cars.

My wife and I are going to try and stay home today. My daughter however asked yesterday if we could go to Dave & Buster's, we're hoping she had forgotten about it for now because we don't feel like going. LOL

We use the word "No" a lot. Trust me, we're not afraid to use the word. BUT on the other hand when we promise her or our son something we try to keep those promises. So, the issue is with us on this fine day. We promised we'd take her but we are both not feeling another day trip someplace.

Dontcha just love Massachusetts? They tax us to DEATH ... and where does all that damn money go??? Certainly not into any of our roads! Nor the educational system .. but that's another topic for another day! You would've loved my road Greg .... hasn't been paved in 50 years, according to my older neighbor ... No worries on not being able to stop - I was up to my earlobes with that Ford 3.0 .... but I won that battle - it doesn't leak a DROP of ANYTHING! I'm actually surprised! It's already been to the Cape and back. 8-)

Glad to see you up and about Fred. Remember .... things could always be worse. ;)

In other news, I sold my Yamaha Roadliner! Unexpectedly too - someone saw it and fell in love with it ... Thank God. Been looking at El Caminos and Rancheros, and a few late 60's Grand Marquis big blocks. I've settled down though - think I need to do the barn siding, the porch roof, and concrete the barn floor .... if I'm smart, that is ...

Decisions, decisions ....

Bye bye Roadliner - was a great run!

Coffee is a bit tuff today after sitting two days but its half price. Just back from a week in Ontario for vacation, my favorite way to flush hard earned cash down the toilet. Next year we plan to stay home and burn the saved money in the fire pit, should be just as much fun. It looks like we should have detoured off 81st street and stopped in at Fred’s since that’s where all the fun was. On second thought after seeing the pics there is a damned good reason they keep him up on the hill.

Greg, we kept an eye on Michigan for the past week and I’m sure you found it to be the same as when you left. While in Canada the only American TV we found were Detroit stations and everything you hear and read about Detroit must be true because it even looks bad on tv.

Just think, July is almost in the bag, school starts soon and soon we have to think about how many shopping days till Christmas. Time flies when you get old.

Because when us for a little kid bugging you for stuff you'll say anything to get her to shut up. No, we didn't go. She went to see her cousin, we'll take her.

Well vacations are just too damn short. I just got back from Raystown lake on Sunday and have been playing catchup since. We had a great time. The jetski ran awesome the 70mph was appreciated out there for sure as I was able to cover some water. My daughter had a blast she met some new friends and did not want to leave. We will be going back for sure next year.
