Own Farm...Own Folktale?

With today's rues and regulations on landownership there does not seem to be a lot a land owner can do without breaking some rule, but one thing you can still do is enjoy what you got...whether it is a few acres or a few more than that. My wife Katie and I enjoy doing some fun theme-based photo shoots and we thought with some areas of our woodlot being filled with bracken, big hemlocks, heavy overstory and that dark, damp, deep woods feel, that we could pull off a photo session of "Little Red Riding Hood". Katie had to do some last minute seamstress work, but you be the judge on if we managed to pull off the folktale well enough.

Hmm, before these photos get taken down, let me just say that I'm willing to be the Big Bad Wolf in your next photo shoot.

No wonder why 'Farm Life' is soooo hard!!! Distractions, what is a guy to do. BTW, I'm on my way up past you in 2 weeks, so if the invite still stands, I'd like to audition for 'Wolf' also. Old and beat up wolf, but still functional. Seems that the call from the woods is about Mr Axeman Anderson, whomever that might be. Sounds like some 'dude' who went to Bowdoin College....has a trust fund.......blah, blah, blah.....

BTW: You two are a creative couple, and enjoy a great sense of humor......and YES, there will be a stoker boiler or two on the trailer when I stop by. Might as well take some pics of the bad assed boiler and someone in the little RED Dress.....It won't be long before we have you stoking with a boiler and freeing up some time for other responsibilities. What else are friends for?????

I didn't give it much thought as you would see the same thing if you went out to Thistles in Bangor, Fireside Steakhouse in Waterville, or any of the other nice restaurants my wife and I frequent when we are free of the kids and out on our date nights.

It is unheard of today; dressing up to go out to dinner instead of just wearing a sweatshirt and jeans I know, but dressing up is something Katie and I like to do. You feel how you dress, we always figured, so after a day of slogging in sheep manure and coal dust, we clean up, get dressed up and go out.

This picture is one taken while going out to eat up at Moosehead Lake at the Black Frog (with our infant daughter in tow) when we stumbled on an old railroad shanty that we had just had to explore. No special websites needed for this dress, she wears it in public all the time.
