I'm looking for some ideas for coal storage.
I'll eventually build a "bin".......
Noticed these construction "1 ton white Poly" bags and was considering using these for storage.
Anyone using them? Any advise? How much coal will fit in one bag?
Tks...Eddie

What's the size of the poly bags? How many cubic feet or yards or material will they hold?

Tks all,
yes, I did see the setup that member was using on YouTube. Great concept and it works well for him.
I'll probably have the delivery driver unload into the 2 bags I have... Just curious on how much it'll hold..
Tks again... Stay warm this winter.

those "super sacks" vary a little bit by manufacturer and design, but will hold a ton or ton and a half depending on design.Only you know which ones you have,Clean anthracite weighs 50 to 55 lbs/cubic foot .does your bag have a tag or label telling its volume?if so just do the calculation per cubic foot.there is a certain fill point they will be talking about and you can probably fill beyond even that point.just be careful it doesn't lose shape while filling or it will tip and spill.most have straps that should be suspended by something that can handle that weight during filling.
