Drive to your nearest big city and park the truck with the windows rolled down. Tie some balloons on the antenna and cross your fingers.

Piece of cake 10mm wrench, two terminals and out with it. The internet is full of why the original ones were dodgy and I think they were a subject of an official Ford recall. You DEFINITELY need to replace it by now. In this case it's worth it to buy from Ford and they should give it to you. I keep a spare and a 10mm wrench and flashlight for long trips. If this old fart can do it anyone can. I am sure there is a youtube video of it.As far as I know it has the orignal one in it. Fairly easy to swap out?
Bully dog is all over the internet too many places stock them. Youtube will have videos too but I will photo mine if you wish. Let us know how you get on, you have my undivided attention. Something socket in Maine in winter is not a place to have a dodgy truck. How can you possibly drive around beating the bushes for base heaters for us if your truck does not work.

Let us know as this board exists to help each other. I still strongly advise changing the CPS. Never mind what FF/EWF says, the 7.3 is one of the very best.I stopped in the garage after work they are going to replace the ICP valve in the morning...it SHOULD fix it we shall see

Smitty, as John Wayne said.
“Tomorrow hopes we have learned something from yesterday.”
So are we still lining up at the GM counter? A Jimmy and now Tahoe, are we seeing a trend here.

If you are not a AAA member it pays to belong. Make sure towing is on you list of benefits. Next, take a handful of excellent maps and plan a route to coastal Maine that has a veeeerrrrrrryyyyy deep ocean shelf. Secure flotation devices that will self destruct 60 minutes from shore.....job done. Please remove all the oils and pollutants, as this will be a Malaysia Airlines reservation. Kiss it goodbye....and that Barney Frank feeling will just be a distant memory in the morning. They all are a PITA, just ask the Mercer boys with the Sprinters. Excellence is a goal, not a reality, always.
If it has wheels, floats, flies, or has a ........................, you can't afford it, nor should you have it!!
Electrical gremlins effect all of us who live in the 'Steel Body Cancer Center of the Universe'. saw an 07 GMC 3500 last night with a foot of frame rotted out behind the drivers door. SHOCKING.
Brake lines were replaced the year before...........it must be a contest to see who can develop the worst, most corrosive , chemicals to add to the environment. The dumb bast**ds can't seem to remember that our drinking water is in the runoff from that crap. Tupperware trucks and cars...thats the ticket. Freddie is back in the sheep pasture? He got those special boots when he was in VT as I recall. I think they are call 'Burlington Booty Boots'. Lamolynn is her name......
