I went out & took some pics. For some reason I never noticed that one linkage is bent & it is the one that raises the forks. Also I started it & she lifted the forks & wood platform right on up. I wonder if quit working the other day because the hydraulic oil was getting hot. Maybe the valve was swelling & galling or sticking. If so, I guess it needs a good cleaning & new O-rings.

That linkage is bent upwards, how could that happen. If it were bent downwards you might think someone stepped on it or dropped something on it.

Hard to believe that the slight bend in that linkage would change any thing.Have you checked the couplings to see if the male/female pairs are matched kinds. If the problem is only when the oil is hot it could be the wrong oil,the filter could be clogged, OR hopefully not... the pump could have a problem. IH High-Tran fluid or like spec oil is what is required in that system, not some cheap oil from TSC for hydraulic system.. If there is any water (from condensation from sitting ) in the oil it could create problems like you are having, steam is not a good thing for hyd. systems.

Sorry but any kind of bent up or down on the linkage will effect it's operation.

FF ,that will possibly change the action the one way,it is not going to drastically do any thing for the other direction. A shorter linkage for example would pull the valve even further or it would go over center of the "neutral" spot, true it will not push it as far the one way ,but again, it would only prevent full valve action the one way.

My old 580 hoe uses Anti-Wear 32 in the hydraulics, power steering & the shuttle trans, I was going to check & hopefully it will use the same. In my experience things like plugged filters usually work better after the oil thins out, but again I was just speculating about hot oil causing an issue. My 580 has a shuttle-shift and in cold weather it won't move until it warms up. I think that is pretty common. I just use a stabilizer to raise one wheel, put it in gear & go back inside until she is spinning nicely. I don't really suspect the pump side because when the loader quit lifting the fork tilt & fast hitch cylinder still worked ok. I have not checked the quick connects yet, but I'm pretty sure they are compatible with each other. For one thing it did work, although with minor issues plus I was told the loader had only been mounted a couple years ago and the install looks pretty neat & clean to me.

I will check that though, thanks for reminding me. Back in ancient times I spent a couple years dragging chemical tankers throughout all 48 states. (Or was that 46. I don't remember if Arizona & New Mexico had been admitted yet or not  ) Some were insulated & the product had to be heated. We did that by using those same type quick connects and circulate the diesel's coolant through the tank trailer heat exchanger. If the trailer had to be dropped we hooked it up to a steam jenny to keep the product warm. Then when hooking up again the coolant would not circulate until we bled it out by hooking up one line from the tractor and using a screwdriver to push in the spring loaded checkball on the other line. Then start refilling the radiator with premixed coolant. Anyway, I understand what you are saying and am very appreciative of everyone's help.
