I have the opportunity to purchase a Pioneer LE for $2100 out the door.It is 3 or 4 years old and never been used.Has the stove design changed on this stove at all?I'm seriously considering getting this stove and I was wondering if there was anything I should be concerned with.

The only thing to be worried out is why you did not buy one 4 years ago. The motors have a time dated warranty so even though it is not used that is a very minor concern. Welcome aboard, LL is a good company to do business with. It might have been a good idea to share with the board your location and size and heating needs of the house but if you did that assessment yourself then fine and LOL.

It's going in the house I'm building in Benton,ME.It's on a slab with garage downstairs and living upstairs.28x44.I heated it last winter with a 34,800 BTU rated freestanding Napoleon oil stove. The downstairs is about 80% insulated with Roxul 5.5" thick batt insulation and the upstairs only has the underside of the roof foamed in with closed cell.I have 2" foam board under the vinyl siding. The foam board is taped. All stud bays are air sealed with titebond weathermaster.I heated it last year with the oil stove set on 2 or 3 out of a max of 6 with a little help from a portable toyotomi heat pump upstairs.Without the heatpump the downstairs was 72-74 degrees and the upstairs was about 56-58 degrees. Those are temperatures taken on the walls with a infrared thermometer.I'm thinking 90,000 BTU's from the Pioneer is going to be more than enough.I can't wait to fire that stove up this winter.
