Put some kielbasa on a stick, open a bottle of beer, and they'll follow you anywhere ! And if it's really good kielbasa, I might too ! :D

They are attracted to light after it gets dark. Put a bug zapper up there. I have two of those nests and cannot get to the nest on the shop, because they built it behind the siding. I'll be hanging a zapper by it over the next couple of days, to try. Should work.

I think it would be kind of fun to fill the nest with spray foam.

Lightning, looks like you have a willing volunteer to spray them. Not me,not with the wimpy water based foam sprays used these days, those bees need LOTS of deadly stuff to kill them, experience speaking, they fly into my shop periodically & can't figure how to leave. They do not die easily !!!!!!!

They really are from Europe lol. I read they were brought over here in the 1800's because they feed on pesky smaller insects.

So far we have a mutual respect and understanding that if no one gets stung, then I won't wipe out the colony.. but I'm afraid that time is up on that treaty.

I'm liking the nuke em from orbit, just to be sure plan at this point

Hire Gus & the Kenosha Kickers for a party at the neighbors with beer & Bratz!! Same as the Irish, they won't be able to find their way back to the attic. ;)

Please let me know how the zapper does.. I really don't wanna spend $200 to evict them. I have in fact had a couple volunteers that are willing to go into the attic and hose the nest with some hot shot hornet and wasp killer.. I wouldn't go in with less than 4 cans..

The normal bug zapper would need to have the outer grill removed for these BIG bees to get to the fry wires. These big bees can & will fly quite a distance even after being hit with the spray,no way would I crawl into an attic close enough to spray them. :poke: :rambo2: :fear: :out: :help2:

Fred, do you need to dilute the molasses, or just a couple tablespoons of full strength. I use molasses in my shop as a rust remover for old steel parts.

As with anything---ya never know till ya try it--straight molasses--a couple inches, not a couple t-spoons ;) Maybe it just works here in Freetown! toothy-- For the brainiac's--curiosity plus odor, gets them down the bottle neck, they get gummed up & they make noise which attracts others by the handful. I wish I could complicate it more, but alas, I cannot
