Ok.Just signed up for them.Sunny Boy wrote:If you get on the TS emailing list, they send out coupons.
We just got a coupon for 15% off for anything in the store.
I went there today to pick up some more nut coal, but all they had was a pallet of rice coal. They gave me a rain check for the 15% off when they get their next shipment of nut coal. They have three pallets on order.

I hope you're right, I had read on their site a 05% on pallet or "volume discount"scoobydoo wrote:Is the full pallet discount 5%?Online it states it is $10.michaelanthony wrote:When I pay for my coal tomorrow it will end up being $4.25/bag. 2 tons - 5% pallet, and 10% coupon discount. $212.50 per ton 5 miles away $289.00/ton $7.50/bag

They tried to sell me wood pellets.
Jirwin wrote:Just stopped by Tractor Supply in Wadsworth, they are selling "Kimmel's Coal" in 40lb bags for 4.99 a bag and a pallet, including tax (50 bags), is $253.00 with tax. They don't have any in stock, they have to order it. They also cannot say when it will come in. I ordered 2 ton today, will let you all know how long it takes for me to get it.

Wow, they must have had a bunch of us calling, and that apparently changed their mind for them. Are they only dealing with nut, or can I order pea from them?McGiever wrote:lsayre wrote:I just called the TSC's in Wadsworth and Medina, Ohio and they both said they have no intention of selling anthracite (or any other) coal, and to their knowledge no TSC's in Ohio will be offering it.

I wonder what kind of profit they're turning at $250 a ton/$5 a bag? They must have negotiated a pretty good deal with Kimmel to be able to sell it that low in New England. PA is one thing but the transport costs bringing it to places like Maine, VT, NH, etc.lsayre wrote:

The coupon state, "no limit to savings, and includes clearance" that's a go!.....I'm pretty good friends with the manager which helps.jbc8000 wrote:Most stores wont give you the 5% on top of the 10% coupon. Know mine wouldn't on my 4 ton order.

I took a chance ordering coal from TSC the week of Halloween, I could still be holding my breath and it wouldn't be their fault. Go to your local market Tuesday before Thanksgiving and tell the butcher you would like to order fresh turkey for the holiday.coalfan wrote:yah they attempmting to sell it /but they need to get the sizes and amount of what we r asking for and I still think kimmel took on more than they can handle and hre we sit /rainchecks etc or is it a lack of who gives a *censored* from tsc !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sorry if you're waiting but I could drive 5 miles and pay $289/ ton (2000lb) OR $7.50/ bag but I rolled the dice.....with a back up plan.

The father in law ordered 2 ton of nut from our local TSC here in plattsburgh about 4 weeks ago, and they got ahold of him sunday afternoon telling him his finally came in.. so I think right now its just a waiting game... if you NEED coal don't depend on them right now, and hopefully in the future they will start stocking it and becoming a steady supplier, unless they up there prices, then it will be no different than where you buy your coal now.
