Yes I agree.. they probably are waiting to get enough orders to fill a truck to get a better deal on shipping to the dealer..

I will give them two more weeks then I need to pull the plug and find alternative suppliers. This really sucks because it puts me behind the eight ball. I ordered back in August to ensure supply and now that we have this extreme shortage of coal, I will need to try to scramble before the polar vortex hits again. Gonna be hard to find coal once the cold gets here.

This sucks. :(

Unfortunately TS will not deliver. :(

I just do not have the means to pick up 3-4 tons on my own. I need to have it delivered by someone.

This is gonna be harder than I first thought.

I contacted TSC corporate this morning about rice coal. They said they had no plans to add rice coal to their coal offerings.

Maybe not. Do you have to get it all at one time ? Most cars can carry several hundred pounds easily. SUV's and minivans about 1000-1200 pounds. I plan on picking up a few hundred pounds everytime I go past TS when out doing errands.

What about friends, or relatives with trucks ?

I might be able to find a friend with a truck. Just hate to do that. I will have to check to see how much my Tahoe can carry. I used to put about 500lbs in the back my Chevy Trailblazer.

I do not need it all at once. I just sleep better knowing that I have it. I know. A bit weird. But it gives me comfort to have 3 tons in my cellar. :)

Picked up 39 40-lb. Kimmels nut at the Dover, DE TSC store for the same price of $4.99. That was all they had and it was on display in the store. Manager was not sure when or if they were getting anymore.

As a coal-noob, I will have no idea if this coal burns well as I have no comparison.

Sure like this site - LOTS of great info and guidance.
