Well, after 5 years, my power venter died on my Pioneer stove. After removing the motor, the aluminum cooling fan just came out in pieces. So, I researched a replacement motor. Found one for $161 at SupplyHouse.com. When I recieved it, there were no oil holes on the unit. I emailed them and they said it was a sealed bearing unit and did not require the oiling during the season. I read one review on amazon that said the sealed bearing units only lasted a year and Field Controls was reverting back to the non sealed bearing units that you have to oil due to this issue. Has anyone heard any reviews, issues, etc about the sealed bearing units? Should I just return the unit and try to find a unit that is not a sealed bearing unit? I would appreciate all the help I can get. Thanks
Diana

Yea, the first link says in the Q and A's that it has oiled bearings. It even looks like it comes with a tube of oil. Are those extra bearings laying there too?

For the sealed bearing variety, I'd be pulling it apart and getting the bearing numbers and stocking a couple sets as well as learning how to disassemble it quickly. Also, using some anti-seize on the blower shaft and set screw.
