$325.
$252.
$ 73. difference

Shoot, it could be a little less than great coal and still be more econmical than the $325. coal. :idea:

They are at 4.99 a bag and said if I buy by the ton it's a 5% discount so that would be about $252 a ton. The next cheapest I've found that is close to me is $325.
Yes, my family and I have burned about 100 tons of their coal in the last 5 years. Some of it was excellent, some of it was ok...but none of it was bad. For $252 a ton I would be all over it.

Actually it might even be better than that..
If I did my math right. :D

$4.99 x 50 bags = $249.50
$249.50 - 5% = $237.03 + if taxed

Picked up the 50-93 Saturday. Anyone in the area of Middlebury, IN has a great local dealer (Ken Otto at Otto's Coal Yard and Stoves). He is a dealer for DS Machine and Pacific Energy. Very nice guy and seems very in tune with the products he sells. Now I'm putting down a 1/2" of durock nexgen to be covered in tile. Doing the whole room the stove is in so hoping to have her fired up by the weekend. Momma's getting cold with just the Eden Pure spinning the meter.

Got the stove fired up yesterday. After the intial curing of the stove pipe smell the boss seems happy with the heat it's putting out so far. It has went well for the first 16 or so hours seems to be idling along quite well and the house is currently at 74. It's not to cold right now so I'm reluctantly hoping for some cooler weather to see what she'll really do. I have an infrared temp gun and the stove body is running around 200 +/- and the stove pipe is at 140ish. I installed a MPD but have yet to adjust it until I get a little more use to how the stove should run. Thanks guys and I'm sure I'll have questions to follow.

I didn't skim thru the rest of this thread. Just wanted to make sure you have carbon monoxide detectors in place. Also, a manometer to measure draft strength with is a very wise investment. Especially for warm weather burning when draft failures are more prone to happen. A mano is cheap, easy to install and it's information is very valuable. :)

I do have Carbon Monoxide detectors. No Mano yet this is why I haven't messed with the damper yet. My stove pipe is reading 135-150 about 10" from the back of the stove so I'm hoping that I don't have draft problems. Looking to pickup a draft gauge this weekend or get one on order
