Hot Air Coal Stoker Stove: leisure line hyfireII
Coal Size/Type: rice/blaschak or reading

Post by Brown86 » Sat. Sep. 20, 2014 9:02 am

I'm looking to put a higher cfm blower(s) on my Hyfire II. The 265cfm that come with stove does not move quite enough heat through my ducts resulting in higher coal consumption. Don't really want to add an in-line duct fan if I don't have to. Also, trying to prevent hooking into cold air return on Hot air furnace. I have been checking out different sites, such as Grainger, but am having trouble finding something. Anyone have any suggestions?

I know weight broke the wagon but it is time to stop the horses ,get off the wagon, find a nice place to sit & think. You have a hot air furnace ??? Why not utilize the fan in the furnace ? You won't have to spend any or at least not much to rig the furnace fan to a timer or tstat & the furnace fan will easily be capable of the job. You would then be doing a complete circulation of hot & cold air instead of just trying to push mountains of hot air without returning the cold air . You do not need a bigger fan as much as you need a system balance which will be accomplished by the furnace fan running.
