I have an old Yale lockset stamped 808. It has doorknob plus a skeleton key to operate a deadbolt. Inside the case there are two arms that are part of the latch, which retract the latch when the doorknob is turned -- I believe it is called the fork -- and one of the arms has broken. I think I can buy a replica lockset but I could easily replace the latch if I could find one. Does anyone know a source for replacement parts?

Try a local that sells used doors, windows and other building products from demo projects. They have a myriad of choices in old locksets and hardware.

Any architectural salvage shop will probably have crates and crates full of door hardware. Happy hunting.

Thanks to those who recommended architectural salvage businesses. I found what appeared to be an exact replacement lockset but which didn't quite fit. However, the broken part from my lock was identical to that in the replacement, so I just swapped them out and now I can easily come and go from my garage again. Not the first time my lock had been repaired -- when I took mine and the replacement apart, I could see that a spring was missing from mine, and the piece the doorknob spindle goes through had been modified.
I tried to fix the broken part with JB Weld ... The epoxy adhered well to the metal but quickly snapped under load.
This site was good -- everything they have seems to be catalogged online and easily searchable:

Delivery was really fast!
