I for one did not take it as grumpy, just factual of how trucking is. We only tried to explain to the OP that life as a truck driver is not all candy & family life. There are reasons for the high cost of moving coal to the far northeast, fuel being the number one, little to haul back, lots of idiotic, unfriendly drivers to deal with,etc..... It would be nice if the OP would update on whether or not his supplier came thru on his coal delivery.

Sorry to get so off base on this topic. I never realized the 2014 coal shortage was going to cause so much grief.

Lets all agree to no longer call it a shortage but a lack of supply.

As of today I still have been unable to locate any coal. The temps have warmed up to 70+ F here in MA so the family is warm.

I take full responsibility for ordering my coal in August. I did not anticipate the lack of supply. I will try to order the coal in May next year. Maybe that will help.

Vin.

Lack of supply in Central MA. My local dealers have plenty in stock and are looking for new customers.

You should have insisted on a refund from your "supplier" by now.

If somebody had my money since August and had not delivered such an abundantly available product I would suspect a scam on the same level as a Nigerian email.

Get your money back from the first guy and drive to your local TSC and see if they already have it in stock. If they don't ask them to get a load for you and I bet it will not be a problem for them.

I'll not agree to call it either of those, I have 12 tons in my basement and the guy I got it from has untold tonnage. Just sounds to me is that you are fabricating something that is not even remotely close to the truth, I am still not sure of the motive but you have repeated this in a couple thread.
