What kind of Manometer should I invest in to install my first coal stove (Super Magnum Stoker)? And where is a reasonable place to purchase it?

That's a heck of a good price from Grainger. They are $47.50 now plus shipping.

I got mine on Ebay for about $30 with shipping. When you get one, make SURE that it comes with the red oil. Some won't because it's not strictly supposed to be put in the mail but it's a very small amount but expensive to buy separately. ASK if it does before bidding on it. It works great on my coal stove.

One of the few that show the bottle of red oil.

If need be you can dial up Dwyer and get a lifetime supply [small bottle] for a fair price. That's what I did when I could not zero in after 4-5 years of usage. Whatever it takes to keep the manometer in good order. We can't do it right unless we maintain the manometers. Good Luck. Mike

Shame on me! Amazon is my 'go to' place for everything and I didn't look! I even got a steering box for my truck from there PRIME and no core charge for less than at the local auto store. If you don't know, you can select your favorite charity (mine's WWP) and Amazon donates part of your cost to them. smile.amazon.com

I bought a used magnehelic manometer on e-bay for < $40.00. No oil to mess with and it looks better mounted near my stove. Just remember you are looking to measure < 0.05 WC. The one I have reads 0.25 WC max. I see a 0.50 max unit on e-bay now for $19.95. That would give good resolution for reading < 0.05 WC.
