Fred I went on USSC website seems only difference between the wondersucks & Ashley is cosmetics. Like comparing Chevy to GMC. No difference. However when I researched the Alaskan part of this forum several members were using the Hitzer 55 & 82 with great results. And that is BIT country. No way I would purchase a USSC when I could get a Hitzer for about the same price!!! To do so is utter insanity !!

The Ashley is coming next week it's set in stone done deal!!

The pipe damper is going Wethersfield it used or not.

Ohh i have NO gripe with USS except that Wonderluxe I got.

Now as long as it's in decent shape and i can control it I'm good. I've owned 2 USS products they were great except the Wonderluxe.

Last year got 10 below temps. Climate records show it been down too 25 below. These mountains get brutal and very windy. Down in town it's usually warmer then here.

Call me an optimist that yet another bit stove hunter may come stumbling in looking for something other than a Ashley. :)

Chicken sht!!!!!!!!! toothy You better ;) C it's just reality that USS stoves in general are pretty bottom of the line quality wise. I'm hopin the Ashley will fill your needs & expectations. Don't look at all this as GRIPEin--just constructive suggestions. Remember, you started the thread. If ya don't want answers/suggestions--don't ask questions. :) Later my young friend.
