What is it? Is it a Craig's list ad? Can you post a link to the ad?

Well no matter what they say..My Harman TLC 2000 is my only heat for 6 months and it does it on about 3 ton a year. It takes care of about 1800 sq ft up & down. I don't burn any wood at all. Just coal, but it's for both fuels. :P

Understood...This is a Tuff Time of the Year to buy Used Snow Blowers,Anything to do with Winter, including Coal Stoves...The Season's here, and the values are higher due to that...Don't grasp at straws and buy something that may not do the whole job for you,if you can help it...What are you heating-sq.footage wise? Can you post a pick of your hearth setting? Do you also have an open flue in your basement?

**Broken Link(S) Removed**

There is the craiglist ad.

I have a finished basement, but we don't use it that often, especially in the winter. The only flue access I have in the basement in the one my furnace is hooked up to. Upstairs is about 1200 sq ft.

Actually now that I see it, that stove looks like it will do coal pretty darn good.

You are correct, he said he only ever burned wood in it.

If the grates aren't warped and no cracks in the stove you can always find a blower for it. Yup it looks like a Russo.

Here...Take a look at the manual:
RUSSO MANUAL

That one you showed is the #1 C/W...it has the grate shaker handle on the right side.
To burn coal in a Russo #1 C/W, an optional coal
basket is required.

I think that stove is well over 10 years old, made in early 1980's.;)
