I was at a customers house the other day and they still had the original coal boiler though no longer in use. I took a couple pictures and found the patent application online. Anyone know anything more about it and how it actually worked?

I think you have found one of the earliest central heating units in the Country. It's amazing it's there. According to the patent drawing it looks like a warm air furnace with a really funky plenum.
