Hello all,

Possibly considering a Harman stove to supplement our hand fired furnace, just want to get opinions here on price, etc.

Not sure what vintage or models it is, and have searched both here and Google and found very few pics to help determine. Stove LOOKS like the SF-250, but smaller and without the spiral chamber? on top. Has a small glass window, two air knobs in load door and one in ash pan door. Has two grates, firebox is one brick deep (length-ways) and two wide. Also has a small circulation blower...

Can get some measurements and/or pics tomorrow, figured it probably sounded familiar enough here even without :). Have read about the SF-150 being the 250's smaller counterpart, but have yet to find a pic of one. Have also heard some early Mark I stoves had dual air knobs on the load door.

Asking $300 for it, looks to be in good condition. Sound okay?

Thanks guys,

Joe

That looks like a mk 1, it is quite a bit smaller than a sf150 or sf250, I just picked up and got going a sf150 , here is the link, (most recent) Any Guess as to the Age of This Harman SF-250?
I have been micro managing coal in small stoves for a few years, so the sf150 is a step up bigger for me, that is why I cut the volume in 1/2 for when it is not real cold, I can always remove these firebricks, my first fire with it, I was pleased with the amount of heat at 1/2 the volume of coal.
I did run a mk2 for a year, fun to have the big glass and open the front door to sit next to, but overall, when it got real cold did not meet my demand, the 2 small stoves going at once was better than the mk2 running alone.
Now I believe I have met my demand needs, with the sf 150, and have the crane 44 mag on the side in case of power outage.

Hello,

I own a SF-250 and it looks very similar to that e-bay photo but it is much larger. Sorry I am not sure what that model is.

Vin.

on any of the used sf models ( 150 ,250 and 350 ) yes they did make a 350 ..... watch the baffle up by the air tubes they will rot out, crack from over heating or warp really bad.

i don't think anyone that has owned a sf model has not glowed the air tubes one or twice ........
