Does this sound like a good strategy? Should I be okay if it hits the dump zone with everything off and then comes back down? Is that safe and will allow me time over the course of the next few days to fine tune?

I would guess so.
Long as the heat doesn't overwhelm you.

But really, if it's bad, give the screw a turn down for less.

Still not clear which screw to adjust. I am assuming turn it counter clockwise to adjust the burn down?

I'm at 202 on the L7224 and the dump hasn't activated yet.

They did but aren't clear to me. Not sure why the dump hasn't activated. At 208 on the l7224. How long before I should intervene by turning up a thermostat?

I will do that. How high a temp on the L7224 is concerning?

I'm nervous about leaving this over night and tomorrow. Wondering if I should pull the plug and go back to oil for now.

Maybe should be testing with a normal load on it?
