- Stoker Coal Boiler: Keystoker KAA-4-1 dual fuel boiler
- Hand Fed Coal Boiler: former switzer CWW100-sold
- Coal Size/Type: rice
- Other Heating: kerosene for dual fuel Keystoker/unused
Being shocked as I was learning that they(keystoker) have been installing and using digital readouts now
I would venture to guess the economy knob is no different than the company notch setting
on a steam locomotive wherein the boiler will steam only so hard no matter the demand.
So saying that - the stoker would only work so hard and deliver only so much coal until the economy
setting is turned off.
It should be discussed in the new boiler manual.

Is it a Hydrostat 3250 control?
If so, the economy setting will change how quickly the control changes the target temperature based on whatever it measures. I usually set it at #1 or #2 and turn the pre-purge feature on.
