Being a round body, it's not a warm morning with the corner bricks...aren't any corners.
She'd be throwing the heat.
You want flat grates... no sag, and decent refractory lining or bricks.
You could replace grates and add new lining, if were needed, but that will cost you more money.

Ok and yes it would have to be in good firing shape as I already have a wood stove in the garage, (free wood) but boy it would be nice to burn coal in there too lol

Take all that "free wood" and sell it. Take all that $$$ and buy a nice stoker boiler and a electric generator.
When the electric goes out just sit and smile.

That might be because you haven't used a stoker yet.hotblast1357 wrote:Lmao I only have 8 face cord buddy, but anyhow I have a hot air setup which is why I already have a furnace, I enjoy hand fired way to much to get a stoker, just was thinking about parking this in the garage for next winter when that free wood runs out

Lol this is true, but then you need electricity 24/7 and yes I do have a furnace but my stove will function without the plenum fan, I can see myself in the next ten years maybe doing a stoker system once I get situated here and some extra money to buy a nice boiler and a back up generator, but I just bought this furnace last winter so I gotta use it a little first and let it save me some money! Then I can go to the simple easy life and put a modine in the garage, dhw and in floor heat in

Yes I do, if you would read back I am heating my garage with 8 face cord, I will probably only go through 4 face cord, my garage is attached to my basement and does not require much to heatddahlgren wrote:hotbblast my point is he does not practically have a years heat with wood.
