Lost track of this thread av. Under normal operating conditions I don't get a boil either. I did, however, forget the stove after refilling and it thr barrel temp went up to around 500 degrees. Yes! Same as the No.6 and 8. Heated water for general use, grilled toast and muffins, made grilled cheese, oatmeal and rice. I did use the smoker out on the deck to cook the pork roast though! We didn't suffer food wise. Really happy this is behind us now.
The snow from the earlier (Nov. 2) storm is long gone but we have 2 or 3 new inches here this morning. Temperature is above freezing with rain forecast on Monday.
