I've never heard of pickled hearts & livers...?
Yep people amaze me anymore. A sale is a sale !!! But that is what you get when dealing with anyone other than the owner or manager who realize the value in keeping customers satisfied.

Pickle the heart only. I prefer my liver fried along with some bacon strips on top.

Pickled heart is a nice little snack (usually followed by beer.)

See the food/recipe section for details. Venison Heart and Liver

Isn't everything followed by beer?
Sounds good though, I'll have to try it.
Big buck & 2 does in my field this morning when I let the dog out. Guess who's rifle was inside?

Heart followed by beer? I'd need a fair amount of beer before the heart!

I called Tractor Supply about coal. I got a gut that seemed to know what he was talking about, but didn't think to get his name. He said Kimmel, $250 a ton, & it would take a week or ten days to get a an order on site. A buddy of mine called the next day & got "the idiot", and also the run around. So.. I guess... keep calling until you get the right guy!

Smitty! What a mortar messer you are!~

Obviously he is on salary or hourly pay and has no interest or benefit in the overall sales performance of the store or a career path in mind. In his view a sale like that would only add to his workload because he would have to run the skid loader to unload the coal rather than hiding somewhere in the back.

The weeks are flying by, I'm scrambling to get all the winter preparation projects DONE. But the weather is conspiring against me.
I've been getting up with the sun, that's about 7am here right now, and quitting well after dark. I guess I'm doing all that I can.
I have made progress on the showroom, still smoothing and patching the concrete floor while painting it. I got the doors sealed up and the overhead lights up and wired. I spent some time today and yesterday setting up the Pex manifolds for the new floor heat.
I think it will all get done.

You should see the finished product. I got more mortar on the face of the brick than on the mating surfaces ..
