Hot Air Coal Stoker Stove: leisure line

Post by dbruno » Thu. Nov. 13, 2014 8:05 am

I just had a direct vent leisure line installed in my house and it is heating well. Unfortunately, my neighbors are complaining about noise from the vent. Is this noise normal?

I'm no direct vent expert but I bet they'd be pissed if you had an OWB! Are there any lubrication points that you can see? If it's close to the ground you could try putting something in front of it to deaden the sound like some bushy plants before the ground freezes.

Tell your neighbors youll sell the stove if you can hook up to their gas service

you need to find ya a hill that nobody is on , move there , put a cupola on top of your new place with a 50 caliber machine gun in plain sight. (maximum of a five shot clip, wouldnt want to break any gun laws) It works for me :D I call it my a**hole filter . keeps everybody at the end of the driveway :rambo:

If you "HAD" it installed -- call the installer back immediately and have the vent moved or changed so it doesn't effect the dwelling next door.

Is this a SWG powervent? If so are you running it wide open? My powervent is running at the lowest possible setting.

Did you take out a building permit? If yes, any whining to the Town will be useless.
