Tended the stove tonight loaded her up and looking at lots of blue ladies, lovely. Turn back around about 15 minutes later and the whole inside of the glass is covered with ash, everything still going fine. Just wondering what could cause this as I've never had it happen before. I'm thinking a "poof" or a "pop" might have thrown some ash. Other than that I have no idea.

Ya know, I'm glad you bring this up.. I see that happen on my glass to. I don't think its fly ash. I think its a condensate from the fresh coal collecting on the glass. The reason I say that is because I notice that later in the burn, my glass clears up nearly completely. Also, if I'm running my fire moderately (instead of a low simmer) there isn't as much of a problem with the glass becoming opaque.

It'll happen to mine after a few weeks. Always dust on mine. I just leave the door open for a minute to cool off and vac it off.
