Stoker Coal Boiler: Alaska channing 3

Hello all, new to this site and fairly new to the coal scene (4 seasons).
However I just moved to upstate ny in a log home. I brought my Channing 3 with us and installed in the first floor of our home. Alaska's website and paperwork shows 13" clearance when sitting in a corner. However I am concerned with the walls being logs and all. If I move it out further it'll be sitting in the middle of the room. Should I be putting some kind of non combustible wall protection in? My stove temps have been around 230-250 and the temps on the wall have been around 100-108. Thanks in advance.

If you can't get the clearances or don't want it in the middle of the room, you can use the non combustible panels around it.

here's some tips for a wood stove, but can apply to a coal stove

I do have the recommended clearances (13"from corner of burn box) that alaska has on their site, I was just hoping those clearances are enough.
