Mine is doing well too Doug nice job by your dad and everyone else involved. I have a good substitute for the shaker handle though lost a few fires I think due to shaking only and not using a poker from the bottom side, probably my lack of talent. Saying that I am warm so all is good and does crank the heat out and me not afraid to crowd it some. We had a -10 night and it saw 740 on the stove top for a while though usually in the 500 to 550 range. I bought one a while back in Marshfield MA and sold it to a friend with a young wife and kids so sold it to him for what I have in it. It was missing a baffle do you have any or a build item? If a build item with a long lead time dimensions would be helpful as not eager to shut mine down to measure it. The fire pot was no better than mine so did not bother to mention it. In a different find I got a 404 reduced capacity fire pot that looks to be about 50% of the full size one. It looks close to perfect to me and has seen little use. If you think a market and want it to cast another let me know and have no immediate need for it. I will take pics of the small firepot if you like. I did forward the thread I had going with you and others about redoing mine for his reference.dcrane wrote:LOL... Still hanging in (day by day)... still got my ipad at least!whistlenut wrote:He is busy......just because one candy store closes, there are many just down the road. Larry T and One Dollar will keep him safe.......I know he is warm, because he has some access to 'product' we never hear about. I refurbed two 44's and the 88 I found and now a 303. All burn very well, so hopefully he is in Aruba celebrating the Mass election results, where a hand fed is NOT a requirement.
Talked to Larry T via phone the other week and hooked him up with a beauty at a yard sale and onedollar always communicates directly so they know im alive and well. Having some handles made for a few people (at the mercy of waiting for uncles shop to put some together when they have nothing else to do however). Real Estate has been very stable (which is nice, especially around the holidays)
I have the 404 going strong with some blaschak (seemingly great coal always!), the xmass lights are up for the kids and trying to take some time to exercise more and focus on myself a little...
Wishing everyone great Holidays & Health!
I hope all is well with you and life going well if not 'reasonable' at least a fall back position.

Im always here and reachable... glad to see some people out their miss me
wow.... a rare "mini pot" for the 404! not many out their so hand on to it incase... I personally never saw the need for that option since I can tone that stove back to a crawl if I really wanted to. I do have a couple extra baffles I had made one for one of our good forum friends beemerboy who sadly passed away (he would love someone who can use it to have it)... if the place is in Marshfield just send me the address and drop it their my next time by.

Come on WH, Flyer & OD are just part of the NEPA Coal family like you & me. They make the time to be active. They just happen to be stove affiliated.

My witness protection handler told me I could NOT divulge that info.
