Hay all, I don't know how long its been out for but I now just saw it Nest Protect WI-FI smoke/CO detector https://nest.com/smoke-co-alarm/life-with-nest-protect/ . I thinks its a good addition to the to a house but like all things has anyone heard the good or bad on this? It will alert your phone if there a problem(smart phones only) you can also check and monitor it as well, and for $99.00 I don't think its too outrageous in price. I leave my dog inside most of the time when were not at home and I was thinking of using it as a secondary to the monitored smoke/heat and CO detectors. Thanks Keepaeyeonit :)

I was looking at them but they seem a little over my price range. I hope to see more "SMART" option soon.

Do you have to pay for a service type thing or just purchase the unit?
