A very strange situation for me here but I recomend that that we tone down the rhetoric a bit & keep it civil. (Wow....I've been waiting to say that for 6 months!) :D

Reagan was one of the best Presidents this country has ever seen. His lists of accomplishments are too long to list here. But, I will tell what kind of "Patriotism" this great man had. He NEVER entered the Oval Office at any time without wearing a suit. Even at 3 am he would get dressed just to enter that room for 10 minutes. He said that office was not his office but the American peoples office and it deserved that respect.

To good ol' Slick Willie that office was just a place to hide from Hillary so he could get a "You know what" from Monica!

Bill Clinton is not, was not and will never be anywhere close to league of President Ronald Reagan.

Agreed.

You like to totally discount anything and everything that G.W. Bush has accomplished. Sure, mistakes were made, but overall I think he did an pretty dam good job considering no one has EVER faced a threat like he faced.I mean c'mon, terrorists TOTALLY destroyed on of our main financial trading hubs and yet he managed to keep us not only out of a depression but the economy wasn't even really hurt at all. ( of course, he had nothing to do with that I'm sure.)

If he was such a terrible President and "War monger" as the libs like to tag him with , Then I guess FDR, Truman, Kennedy, LBJ, and Clinton are also on the War Monger list....

FDR led us into World War II
Germany never attacked us ; Japan did
From 1941-1945, 450,000 lives were lost .
an average of 112,500 per year.

Truman finished that war and started one in Korea
North Korea never attacked us .
From 1950-1953, 55,000 lives were lost .
an average of 18,334 per year.

John F. Kennedy started the Vietnam conflict in 1962.
Vietnam never attacked us.
Johnson turned Vietnam into a quagmire.From 1965-1975,
58,000 lives were lost .. an average of 5,800 per year.
Clinton went to war in Bosnia without UN
or French consent. Bosnia never attacked us .
He was offered Osama bin Laden's head on a platter three
times by Sudan and did nothing. Osama has attacked us on
multiple occasions.

In the years since terrorists attacked us ,
President Bush has liberated two countries, crushed the
Taliban,
crippled al-Qaida, put nuclear inspectors in Libya , Iran , and,
North Korea, captured a terrorist who slaughtered 300,000 of his own people.

It took less time to take Iraq than it took Janet Reno
to take the Branch Davidian compound.
That was a 51-day operation..

BTW- If G.W. was asleep at the switch for 9/11 then I guess Bill was wide awake for the Khobar Towers, USS Cole and the first WTC bombings, just to name a few...

KTM,
You are making the classic mistake of trying to use facts, reason and logic to convince someone whose thoughts and convictions are illogical and ruled by "feelings." Don't waste your time, you might as well be talking to a stump. :!:
He's convinced he's right and that people of his ilk are "taking over." He issued a warning to that last night.

PERFECT!! Couldn't be said better.

GW had to deal with the FIRST WAR ON US SOIL... He took that war into the enemies back yard... I think Stokingfull would have prefered it to fought in his back yard with the ACLU in attendance to make sure we didn't do anything 'nasty' like the enemy did... anyone remember the public photo of the corpse of the marine, chopped up, burnt and being displayed ... the display was the corpse of the marine being suspended on a rope.... by his testicles.... Yep we need to worry about that 'waterboarding'' Yep that's a real problem...

What is the big problem is nobody takes these photos and presents them to the media when they ask the stupid, inane questions about 'prisoner torture'

I just can't see the liberal side of this.

The USA and GW did it right: We stood up and fought, like a real country, and didn't let the war be fought in our own backyard.

Actually Greg, I think he would have prefferred to talk with the enemy and negoitiate our surrender.
This enemy is sub-human and commits unspeakable atrocities on anyone they capture. Heads sliced off, burning people alive, and other crimes too terrible to list. Water boarding is a walk in the park by comparison. His heart bleeds for the poor Gitmo prisoners who have no rights. These people are treated much more humanely than they deserve. It's people like him who are leading the conutry down the politicaly correct path to our own suicide as a nation. :x

It’s their absolute hatred of the Bush administration. The democrat party has been hijacked by the far left. Look what they did to Joe Lieberman. Excellent post ktm.

Not PC a lot of times,, but a brilliant man,,, too bad the country isn't ready for a brilliant man... they want manikens who'd posture and movements are controled...

Not poo-pooing anyone here, but what happened to the American Revolution and the war of 1812? Were they not fought on US soil?

Acutally more of a Socialist, seemingly a personal ideaology you seem to share. BTW, you really should stop purveying the falacy of the Pilgrims coming to America to enjoy religous freedoms, go back and read a history book and get back to me.

:blah: Hate to interrupt your circle-jerque here, boyz, but your point about L'il Bush has just a few material flaws:

NONE of the 9/11 attackers was from Iraq. (Did we invade Saudi Arabia, where 19 of the 22 came from?) Al Quaeda wasn't in Iraq before we went there (and it certainly wasn't any part of the stated reason we went in there). We had international support for the now-imperiled effort to get OBL in Afghanistan but squandered it by the idiotic Iraqi invasion.

And, for those of you who wouldn't have fought WWI or WWII, but still think the Shrub-in-chief was smart for going into Iraq -- not Afghanistan, boyz, I know you have some trouble distinguishing the two, but they're different countries in a part of the world called the Middle East -- may I suggest that you sober up and try thinking about it clearly?

C'mon, Greg, you know what Newt's problem is: he's fatally damaged political goods because, while he was leading the charge to impeach Bill for a BJ, he was doing exactly the same thing. And so was their ill-fated next Speaker-designate, David Livingston, and so was fat-boy impeachment wild man Henry Hyde, and those were just the heterosexual GOP hypocrites!

You see, we keep having to learn lessons like keeping private lives out of politics every 50-75 years or so, just like we may have to learn why our forebears legislated restrictions on gun possession 50-75 years ago. Too bad we can't study our history better instead of constantly repeating it.
