Gee thinks this could be it? During clean out I found this junk stuck in the stoker plate. You can just make it out on the left side of the plate. Sorry the pics are rotated, must be an iPhone thing. The handle is the old handle off the stove to show the size of the pieces. It was like coagulated fines. Did a major clean out. Only a few holes were plugged up in the stoker plate. Waiting for the house to drop in temp to fire it back up to see if this makes a difference, I will be surprised if this isn't the solution

Vegetable oil will polymerize into some real nasty stuff under the right conditions. Slowly heating it is one of them. The people who run it in diesels never switch over to it till the engine is hot or it will stick to the to the cylinder walls and valves, polymerize and seize the engine. What was its consistency?

And on a side note, with the veggie oil on the coal you can smell it in the house. I don't mind it, kinda smells like French fries lol. However my o.c.d. wife is going nuts with it

Try TSC Mineral oil, found in the horse section. It is pretty much odorless.gitrdonecoal wrote:And on a side note, with the veggie oil on the coal you can smell it in the house. I don't mind it, kinda smells like French fries lol. However my o.c.d. wife is going nuts with it

I felt like a horses rear end when I saw the blockage. I sighed and shook my head.WNY wrote:Yay!, glad you got something figured out.
