Yes, someone is going to get a real nice stove... just not this one... yet. I called the guy, made the trip and picked up the stove. It was only a 3 hour drive. Unfortunately, the stove had been disassembled and stored in a unheated shed for 10 years. The pieces are all there but it doesn't look like the picture posted here. There is quite a bit of surface rust so it will have to be sandblasted. One side panel will have to be sent out to the forge for replacement. I haven't had an opportunity to look at all the pieces yet but I did see the grates and they will have to be sent to the forge as well. Hopefully, I can use what's there to make a mold. A positive is that that the chrome had just been redone prior to the stove's going into storage. It will just have to be polished.oliver power wrote:Someone is going to get a real nice stove....................
This is definitely a project but since all the pieces are there it should come together and actually look like the picture once again. One thing for sure, I couldn't beat the price. I figure it will be a great learning opportunity. Pictures to come as the project moves forward. Lisa

Nice Lisa . Got to it before I did ! Thought I could put a Richmond stove in the Historic home I live in , in Richmond VA .
So if you ever want to part with it give me a shout . Metal work is my game . No sweat there .
Look forward to seeing the progress . Any pics on where it's going in the house yet ?
Btw there is a foundry 15 mins from me here in Richmond that does this kind of work if your looking to send the pieces to a foundry. They are called the OK foundry . They do sand molds and what not .
