Hello my name is Dave. I have had a coal wood stove given to me. On the back plate it says. Sears Roebuck & Co. The number on it is 117.1820. It has no name or other marking on it. The person I have gotten it from thinks it is a heatrola. I have Googled names. Numbers and nothing comes up. Can some try to help me out to figure out what it is and if I can get pats for it.

What I can tell you is many manufacturers made this "style" of living room/cabinet stove. Previous to these most stoves where black cast iron. These stoves inside of a more refined metal cabinet appeared in the mid to late 20's and up to the 60's. I believe Warmmorning still makes a stove in the "retro" look today.
You should get some good heat out of her, being a radiant stove how much coal she holds will determine it's output. How about some inside pic's.

The Locke stove Company made many of these stoves and sold them under various names. Warm Morning and Sears are examples. Because so many were made many are still in use and repair parts are available. This stove can burn anthracite but was designed for Bituminous. The larger ones can take 100 lbs and not have to be touched for days. I remember several topics being posted about these stoves; check out the archives by doing doing a search in the upper right hand corner. Good Luck, Lisa

I believe it is a Coronado coal stove. I looked at one just like this. Found the castings to be fragile - had many cracks, salvaged it but did keep the grates. It looked to me if a guy found one in good condition it would be a nice functional anthracite coal stove. Make sure it has the elbow 90degree pipe to hook to your stove pipe.

The grates appear to be a little warped, do they turn freely?

Dave,
Try going to Sears web page, and with that model #, you might get lucky. I think they're still in business.
Cheers
