I can't believe this Thing is sliding just under us....Seems that just don't happen often.....It will be interesting to gauge what actually hits all of You compared to what the "Panic Artists" are calling for. One Thing I Do Hope For Is That Folks Just Stay Home,And Let Those That Have To Be Out In It Be Free From The Harm Of Sightsee'rs...Good Luck,Gang !!

Dont worry Bob,
I have my chains in the truck the gas tank is full, weight in
the back of the truck, 3/4 of a tank of that nasty expensive kerosene,
one half ton of the second load of oiled nut left in the trailer,
one 50 pound bag of stove coal left under the tarp, and 6 buckets
of reclaimed unburned coal pieces.
If the Old Farmer needs to be rescued I am up to the job
as long as the sheep have no road blocks, tank traps,
misdirected street signs or new guard towers with
50 caliber machine guns at the bottom of the driveway.

Folks around here think that a little snow is the end of the earth ... get off your duff , shovel the snow, die like a Midwesterner and enjoy the afterlife !

Its not bad as long as you keep the foot off the throttle and drive slowly.
Not too much to report yet over here as the snow is a fine dust
great for skiing and it is continuing to snow here as of 5 pm EST.
fred probably has a bit more snow by the manure lagoon than I have
right now.
I will fire up the salamander after a bit and warm up
the mule to heat up the transmission and start clearing the driveways.
I brought over about a hundred or so pounds of nut
from the dump trailer and have it under the tarp by the side door.
The only thing I lack is a four wheel drive mule and four wheel
drive truck but I manage ok as I no longer have any wood on the
back lot to retrieve anymore as the four cords I have left is by the
house.
I have the four snow tires from the old truck mounted on the new one
-this is the winter and this is the fourth winter with them on the new truck
and they are grabbers- mud and snow hard rubber deep tread Goodyears
they are very noisy on dry pavement but they have not failed me yet.
I will probably put the chains on tonight or tomorrow morning as I live
@1,140 feet above sea level and the snow will get deep up here I just hope
it does not warm up as the ditch culvert below me is plugged and the state
of new york has not ripped out the culvert- )(*&^%^&*() would not listen to
me as the water backed up for a quarter mile and was six inches deep with an
ice dam of a foot thick above that that I had to break through by hand
thanks to those LOUSY (*&^ARDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
