Anyone interested in a road trip? Looks like some interesting stoves. This is Wells, Maine near the New Hampshire border.

I believe this is route 1 with hotels in Portsmouth, NH and plenty of motels on route 1 in Wells, Maine.

If you go make sure you don't get caught up in the "bidding" and overpay!

I attend 10 or more industrial auctions a year in the US , Canada, and Mexico. It took quite a few years to get over getting caught up!

My advice and what I learned to do is:

1.Get there the day before or as early as possible before the bidding starts.

2. While of sound mind ,take your time look the items over really good. Take a few hours if possible....... write your max price down on the lot sheet .......And Stick With It !!!!!!!

3. Avoid showing interest in your items when the crowd shows up.

4. Try to pick a seat or stand in the background during the bid.

5. Don't hesitate between bids...it gives the other bidders time to think

I lost many items for $10 dollars over my max but never regretted it . Looking back........ In my younger days I bought a lot of items for twice what they were worth. :hammer:

We can show up dressed like the Blue's Brothers peppered about the audience wearing a black carnation in our lapel and remain quiet until, "going ONCE, going TWICE, and them BAM! snag'em all!
