Someone is selling a used keystoker for $600 or best offer. He said he used it for one year and it sat in storage for the past 2. It appears to be the 90/105 model, it says direct vent on the plate on the back but doesn't give any info about model.

Are these decent stoves, I want to replace my hand fired in the basement with a stoker and restore my hand fire as a show piece for the living room upstairs. The models are 90k BTU or 105k BTU which is plenty for my house. It also looks a tad bit like a koker, so i'm not sure what it really is.

That is not a Koker that's for sure. It is either a 90 or 105. 90 is single wall 105 is a double wall. The 90 sells for about $2650 new.

We will see what happens, he said he had someone trying to come look at it today, and he would let me know if they bought it, still haven't heard anything from him.

A good cleaning and oiling, is prolly all it needs. I've had my Keystoker 90K for 12 years now. Works great. good luck. This one looks to be a bit older.

I didn;t see the direct vent, they could have taken it off and just used a standard chimney.

Well I didn't get it, he wanted me to come out that night and give him an extra $50 for him to sell it to me and I said I would just wait to see if the other guy showed up, which he did.

No need to dispair, there is always another one. Here is an older one for $550. Looks different than the new ones but works just as good. and you can likely get it for less than $550.
