I have noticed this year that the blower seems to take a 1/2 second vacation every now and then. Its like the power is cut to it for a moment then continues to operate as usual. It is like it is taking a 'breath'. I have heard it in the evening when the house is quite probably a couple time a week but who knows how often it is actually doing this. Kind of like a tree falling in the forest analogy. Is this normal or should I think about a back up blower? Bought unit brand new and second year using it. The lights in the house don't dim or anything so I don't think it is the power.
Any insight would be very helpful.

The clutch/pause seems too deliberate to be a loose wire, it seems intentional. Almost like the coaltrol is causing it to happen.

I sent you a pm with some suggestion s . Also it could be the tstat cable . How is it run . Could it get mechanical damage. If you have a good cat5 cable you can use it as a test.
