The cost of electricity continues to climb faster than the rate of inflation. I'm not as motivated as Larry (Isayre) to calculate my exact cost to run both the combustion blower and convection blower on my Lil' Heater but it appears that it costs about $ 70.00 dollars per month. This figure is taken from comparing my October electric bill with January. Two dollars per day is not insignificant and worth investigating.

Does a replacement motor exist for the 265 cfm convection blower, and if so, where can I buy one?

Note: ECM motors may not be compatible with the coaltrol. However, other control devices may work in tandem and allow some interoperability.

$70/month for a lil heater? What is your cost / kw? I run a boiler and a stove 2 heated water buckets for the horse and my bill is just over $100/month mostly the most I see is $140 in Jan and feb when the buckets are working full time. Do you have access to an amp meter?

Not to sound like a broken record... but sometimes the meter reader person doesn't make a personal visit and the bill is "estimated"..
The next time a 'actual" reading is taken the utility "settles up" an all is well. :)

My Keystoker 90 draws as follows. Convection blower is 250 CFM.

Combustion Fan 15 Watts
Combustion Fan with Feed Motor running 37 Watts
Convection fan on High with Combustion Fan 109 Watts
With all motors running 130 Watts.

I Just Installed a new Dayton 265 convection blower on my stove , The old one pulled1.86 amps ,My new one only needs .77 amps. You need to buy one that has a Permanent split Capacitor on it. In that the amps that it draws go's down when you turn it down to run slower. If that makes any sense to you. I am very happy with this new fan. :)

Do not use a PSC 265 motor with the coal trol. For some reason they work great with the A212 blower but not the 265.

I tested a Rotom which is supposedly a Dayton and it did not work, it was very noisy. I will have to order a Dayton and try it. They work for the combustion blower just fine because that is just a relay. The convection blower has the speed control.
