What is garbage to one party is treasure to another. Republicans recover American flags that were put in trash bags & heading for a land fill after the Democratic National Convention. The flags will be passed out at Republican rallies.

Are not homeless people considered U.S. citizens any more? As long as they are & have proper ID what difference does it make what they use for an address. I would think the more affluent people with houses in more than one state would be more likely to try to vote more than once.

I`m in Pa. where you need it. How does Ohio & these other states verify who voted?

I stand corrected, "Under a relatively new state law, Ohio residents are required to show identification, such as a driver’s license, at the polls."

Only 24 states require identification prior to voting in 2008

It's common knowledge that almost every bill has some kind of pork somewhere in it. That's one of the ways bills get passed, throw something in it to satisfy the "other side" so that they will get off the fence and vote for it.[/quote]

It is also the reason why a lot of bills are voted against. Obama and McCain both voted against bills that would have increased support for the troops. I know poor Cindy's blood boiled and she wet herself when Obama voted against it, but she forgot to talk about her wetting herself when her hubby also voted against the bill, because the were parameters of the bill which they could not support. This is an easy example, but when Obama says McCain voted in a certain way, or vive versa, I think they should look at the floor notes and see why the vote was for or against, because in many cases, the main bill was supported but the pork was not. Seldom is it as cut and dried as the media makes it out to be.

Every time I vote in Maine they check the ID of every person in line, and in our town of 5,000 they know all of us by name and face. I've never voted in Maine in any town without showing ID first.

it maybe common practice to add on porkbelly to other bills but mccain has not add one to a bill in 26 years.(sorce from independent watchdog) obama has add 900 million in porbelly spending in 3 years. now wich one is searious about cutting spending? McCain !!!
